Jack Gordon, 1971
A nail in the shop wall, a straw cowboy hat, and a name that had not left a customer's driveway yet. Everything after this stamp exists because that first hat came off and the work got done anyway.

Three generations, eight presidents, and a whole lot of Texas summers
In 1971, Jack Gordon hung a straw cowboy hat on a nail in Conroe, Texas and went to work fixing his neighbours' air conditioners. No big crew, no fancy office. Just a handshake, a service call, and a promise that the job would be done right. The hat still hangs in the shop.
The lineage
A company can change hands without changing families. This one never has. Each stamp below is the Gordon who was standing at the door when it happened.

01
A nail in the shop wall, a straw cowboy hat, and a name that had not left a customer's driveway yet. Everything after this stamp exists because that first hat came off and the work got done anyway.

02
The sons inherited a hat, a truck and a promise, not a franchise. Rodger and Kirk built the second half of the company out of the same handshake their father started with, one job at a time across Montgomery County.

03
The hat has not moved off its nail, and the grandsons grew up underneath it. Jacob runs the service department now. Seth and Naythan carry the family name onto the same driveways their grandfather once worked alone.
Four words, from the founder
That is the whole instruction Jack Gordon left the company, and it is still the standard the third generation works to. Not a slogan on a truck door. The actual standard.
We show up on the day we told you, not the day that suited us.
If the cheaper fix is the honest fix, that is the one we recommend.
Nobody on this crew works on commission, so nobody works you.
Names, not a call center

Ruud sets a four-star minimum from validated homeowner reviews and checks it annually. It is one of the accomplishments this family is proudest of, because it is graded by strangers, not by us.
Upper management, decades deep
